3/3 the letters ICE, and how trauma carries its nature because of the frozen quality of the nervous system that doesn’t process its wounds, but just keeps repeating them in a rigid way. So ICE is an apt name for what they are doing, repeating traumas that have been done many times before.

2/3 was to make sure people never forgot about the Holocaust and that they learned from the past. His greatest fear was that history would repeat itself. I see ICE as bearing way too much similarity to the gestapo, just a different target right now and not as many deaths. It makes me think of

Learn and don’t forget, so that we don’t forget what lows people are capable of on a massive scale, so that it doesn’t go into shadow and get repeated. ICE becomes an acronym for the trauma shadow, the freeze that goes deep and stops people from processing what happened and allows them to repeat.

I’m actually moving somewhere where I’ll be able to have a vegetable garden. I think I might try to be a bit more self sufficient for a while. Hopefully we will get a democratic president in 3 years and 9 months!
