I enjoy seeing all the evidence pointing to fraud in the last election because it makes me think a plurality of the country aren’t simply assholes.

I live in Canada and I’m having a hard time figuring out why every American isn’t on the streets right now. We showed up in droves for the Women’s Marches and this should be 10x bigger than 2016. Tired? Overwhelmed? Demoralized? Ain’t got time for that. Stop blaming Congress and get out there!

They were wrong about Iraq, they were wrong about Obamacare, wrong about trickledown, heck, they were wrong about Medicare and the National Park Service.So why on earth should we believe them when they say Trump’s tariffs or Musk’s dismantling of government will work out remotely well?

Masha Gessen’s interview in the NYT was a perfect lesson in why one should not compromise with corrupt regimes. You think you are giving up one little thing to retain your autonomy, but there will be more and more things asked of you and soon you will be an integral part of the corruption. Resist!

Organizations like PBS should not be getting rid of their DEI initiatives. You think it’s one thing, you’ll just do this one thing and the government will be satisfied, but that’s never how it works. The demands are endless and you will end up controlled, muzzled, and compromised.

I’m in mourning for my country and all we’ve lost. So many decades trying to make life better, trying to help people rise up, only to see it destroyed by selfish billionaires who can never get enough. I want so desperately to be wrong but it seems like we’re headed down and there may be no way back.

Sometimes I think the president is some sort of evil genius, then I remember Hanlon’s razor - never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity- and I feel better.
