I think what people who decide to oppose an available option b/c they decided ahead of time that it would fail actually want is to give themselves some sense they can control outcomes.
Knowing something will fail and not even trying is failed. But at least it is an outcome, and you controlled it.

I go back to game theory and the Prisoner's Dilemma across multiple rounds. You can't have one side always choosing "cooperate" while the other side always chooses "snitch" and expect things to work.
Optimal approach is always "cooperate first; on subsequent rounds, do what the other guy did"

this isn't directly related to this case, but are there any court cases/ rulings where non-Christian religions have cited religious freedom to have an abortion or other actions that go against the restrictions that the evangelicals are advocating for?

I def agree with not getting hysterical over yet another time he lied, ignored, and/or disregarded laws/Congress, etc. I would like them to get angry and effectively challenge him. not schumer/Jeffries responses of being miffed he didn't consult.

disagree with this action not being something to be jailed or impeached for. not because he didn't consult with Congress first, but because there is no National security reason. otherwise we've invaded sovereign Nation and kidnapped their leader. I am not clear on what action you were proposing.

I can agree about impeachment based on the fear of Democrats not being successful but there are other ways to get attention and try to stop these types of actions.

Hard disagree. Trump needs to be challenged on the outrageous actions that he has taken... from sending people to CECOT without due process, from using ice and the National guard to invade US cities, and blowing up ships without proof or due process

since you are on a hunt, I will add re: Good Earth Tea that they simultaneously sold two versions of regular--one had artificial flavors and one did not--that looked identical but tasted much different. 🤬 the artificial flavored one was my fave. so it might be good earth after all perhaps
