As of today, I've decided to stop making art using square pixels.

I've taken some inspiration from the field of engineering, and decided to use triangles because they're one of the strongest geometric shapes. My pixel art can now withstand tons of force!

How I made art with heart-shaped pixels!

1. Draw a small shape on a square canvas
2. Convert the shape to a pattern
3. Resize your art so each pixel is the size of your shape
4. Fill the canvas with your pattern on a new layer
5. Clip the art to the pattern with a Clipping Mask

Text: Make a small, square canvas. Ex. 10x10px. Draw any shape, then convert it to a pattern. Image: 10x10px heart shape drawn in Photoshop. The "Edit" Menu at the top of the screen is open, and the "Define Pattern..." menu option is selected. Text: Resize your pixel art. Multiply by the size of your small shape (from step 1). 90x90px, x10 bigger, is 900x900px.
