Let’s move on to the newer faces in AEW. While Bryan Keith first signed last February, he hasn’t really been given many chances to show off, so it’s easy to feel like he’s still one of the new kids on the block. Let’s give him a chance to really make memories.

Now the other Death Rider in the tournament is one that seems like he always has to prove himself. Wheeler Yuta gets such big reactions from every city he visits, and it’s time for him to step up to the next level.

Now like all things in AEW at the moment, the Death Riders are going to be involved with the C2. PAC has truly reinvented himself in 2025. New look, new motivations, new allies. If not this year, I can’t imagine he’ll ever make the tournament.

One more reigning champ as I hit the halfway point: Lee Moriarty is just incredible. He should really be on AEW tv more than he is, it’s not like he’d be the first ROH champion to work both brands.

And speaking of incredible showings in 2025, his tag team partner Bandido is absolutely on fire. I don’t think there’s a single wrestler in AEW who has more MOTY contenders.

Next, the final returning entrant of my pick list: Brody King has had a hell of a 2025, and has ingratiated himself to an incredibly faithful fan base. I think this is his tournament to lose, and I’d be shocked if he isn’t in the finals.

Juice Robinson was unfortunately replaced in last year’s tournament due to an injury suffered in the first match. So I’d love for him to get a second chance, and I think his journey to redeem himself could be a fantastic story.

We already know that, barring a very shocking title change, Kazuchika Okada is automatically entered into the tournament. This will be his second time going into the tournament as the reigning champ.
