I could sit here and do this for hours.

Not bad for a bit of acoustic pixel art!

Sitting there with a trap with a string and scissors, proper Looney Tunes stuff.

ngl I LOVE the local news broadcasts here, this is top telly.

The BBC and ITV local teams for East Anglia both seem to have great chemistry and really have fun with their jobs.

And I love Clare.

Like it wasn't just a glimpse of something through some bushes and maybe it's a badger. It's in full HDTV burrowing at the edge of her decking.

I feel like if you play this clip then immediately asking how she knew it was a skunk is unnecessary.

Local news featured a story about a woman who found a tame skunk in her garden and had to try to get it into a cage so it could be cared for by an animal welfare group.

And the newsreader was like "How did you know it was a skunk?" while footage of what was CLEARLY a skunk played on screen.

One of the military's tactical surveillance planes ate shit in a tornado of matter-that-is-dark and I'm sat here trying to catch the bugger on Skycards at the same time.

We're watching a film featuring a Baldwin of some description? And its about secret scientists doing experiments with dark matter.

And they're literally representing dark matter with... dark looking matter.
Dark storm promo image with a sort of tornado of black plumes and a bunch of lightning over a city scape covered in a blue grey filter. One of the Baldwin's eyes with black contacts are looking down at the city

Some of the other houses in that estate have taken up the parquet floors and replaced them with plastic tile and floating cabinets and I HATE it.

Yeah I had a long thin kitchen in my last place and it was such a pain. And mine was about half that length.

I don't hate the kitchen or the office but yeah, a lot of that wouldn't be my first choice.

The shapes. The angles. The design choices!
Photo looking from the angled hallway into a sort of thin diagonal downstairs loo and across the paralellogram to the kitchn. All with beautiful parquet floors. One of the smaller bedrooms, still with the wall of windows. The wall next to it has a jungle mural covering it with a leopard, giraffe, monkey, and various palm tree type greenery. The furniture is a very expensive minimalist looking crib for a toddler, a wingback armchair and a stool/side table The downstairs of one of the paralellograms with the staircase hidden behind vertical planks of wood painted blue, and a blue sideboard in front of it. One of the gardens with square and rectangular slabs with a geometric pattern stretching diagonally, with loads of big bushes and trees creeping in at the edges and a pergola part way down the patio.

I'm trying really hard not to get distracted from the several things I'm meant to be doing atm but I'm losing the struggle.
Photo looking at part of the terrace which has a kind of lazy zig-zag footprint for the main two storey part of the house, with single storey entryways jutting out in front. Over the roof line of the second storey bit a row of small windows is peeking, suggesting a split-level upper floor with difference ceiling heights and extra interesting windows. The floor plan for one of these houses. It's basically a two storey paralellogram with a kind of acute trapezium hallway at the front. Bheind the porch is a toilet and staircase. The main ground floor is mostly open plan with the kitchen occupying a back quarter. Upstairs is one large bedroom and two small betdrroms with a bathroom in between them.

Also I just caught this in one of the bathrooms 🤌
Photo of a bathroom tiled in pastel pink with a minimalist toilet where the cistern is hidden behind the tiling, a small sink, shower, mirror and ENORMOUS soap dispenser for some reason. Above the toilet are two commemorative plates. Close-up of the plates showing one with all the thunderbirds characters and main vehicles, and one that seems to focus on Lady Penelope, her car and driver.

Wonderfully impractical bit of mid-century home design going on here.
Floorplan for the linked property. You enter in a bit to the side of the main two storey building. It's at about a 30 degree angle to the main building and contains a long, thin kitchen and a toilet off the entry hall. The main part of the building would be a rectangle, except the front and back walls have a sort of diagonal built into them so that the house is almost hexagonal. Downstairs it's two reception rooms and a study, upstairs it's four bedrooms, one bathroom and one en suite. All of the rooms do have at least one 90 degree corner, but with the exception of the bathroom upstairs they all also have some other batshit angles. The "I know writers who use subtexts and they're all cowards" meme edited to say "I know architects who use right angles and they're all cowards."

I like that second paragraph you've added. I'll make sure to include something like that in future feedback forms, thanks!

We occasionally offer Bean a tiny bit of human food if he comes and sniffs it but he always either declines or gives it a single lick then walks off.

I went yesterday to get the flu & covid vaccines because I had a text inviting me to & it allowed me to book both & then I was told when I got there I only qualified for the flu one.

It is madness

They're acting like the problem with denying so many vulnerable people a covid vaccine this year is that the information informing us that we're no longer eligible isn't clear enough on the booking website!

The fucking problem is we're being denied vital healthcare!

We joke about it but Bean really does have his tail on backwards.
A white and ginger cat rubbing his face against the edge of the coffee table. His white and ginger striped raccoon tail arches forward so that the tip is just behind his head Bean standing in the living room. Again his tail arches forwards and a bit to the right this time. But it's definitely at least half way to his head Bean playing with his catnip banana. He's slightly blurry mid-jump and his tail is again pointing forwards. If you think of the spine and tail and the tail pointing straight backwards would be 180 degrees, his spine/tail angle is about 30 degrees. Mid-playing again but photographed from the side to make it clearer, this time his tail is like 60 degrees.
