This is worse than digital only games. Digital Games are very much guaranteed to be preserved at the data centre where they're hosted, with loads of redundancy etc, much better than physical media, except if the store shuts down you lose your copy. These cartridges have the worst of both worlds.

Mine is only buy digital on @gog.com and everything else physical if doesitplay lists it as playable offline with no download required :). If there's anything I must play now I guess I could cave in but there's so much in my backlog I've never been able to justify buying DRM'ed digital.
