At the hospital with my son who is having a finger amputated due to an infection.

Not 2b insensitive, it's a legit question regarding my own ignorance...
I get follows like these that I have been brushing of as scams of some sort so I don't fb, mostly because my brain thinks, 'if you're so poor, how can you afford to maintain a social media account? Am I looking at this wrong?
