EU-based GenX, ran out of fucks more than 20 years ago. Weird mix of a Pol. Sci. education that morphed into an ICTSEC career.
Happily married for the last 21 years, proud dad of two.
Geek supreme, lover of LEGO, member of many fandoms.
The guy is an unapologetic MAGA, donated $5 million to the 🍊 🤡 during the presidential campaign, and even relocated himself to Florida, post elections, to be closer to his master.

Says everything you need to know about him.

The US never had a “left”, bar from a few politicians here and there.

When I was starting Pol. Sci. in 1991, our teachers were already saying that the US political spectrum was simply “from moderate right to far right”.

Cut it in half, it’s still the biggest defence budget on Earth. So it’s not as if it’s gonna make the USA “less safe”.

And to be 100% precise, what European jurisdictions get is named extracts relevant to:
• European nationals
• European soil
• European victims
• European institutions
• Contextual metadata (dates, locations, travel)
• Testimony segments involving EU jurisdiction

No “full unredacted files”.
February 16, 2026 at 7:01 AM
And?!

Where does it says that “the EU” has access to the “unredacted files”?!

This article only mentions:
- the French authorities (not really “the EU”),
- the -released- files.

Why do you conflate a Member State with the European Union? It’s like saying Texas is “the US”, you know?

Any link? ‘Cause, and it’s not a brag, I have ears at the level of our Secretary General, Alessandro Chiocchetti.

As well as in the ECJ, the OLAF and the CERT-EU.

It’d take something more than Top Secret to go past this old bastard.

Music was one of my first forays into the English language, through lyrics included in cassette tapes and CD sleeves, so the two of them are indissociable from each other to me.

And ignoring the lyrics is a big mistake when you see what Steely Dan, Supertramp or 10CC hide in those (to name a few).

You sure about that? I’m working FOR the EU. European Parliament to be exact.

The DOJ hasn’t released anything our way or towards the Commission.

I have enough antennas here and there to know if something of that magnitude would actually happen.

That’s the main reason why we at the European Institutions are developing our own, on-premises, “ChatGPT-equivalent”.

To avoid our users to use the commercial tool and feed it sensitive data and to be able to block it without bluntly saying users “deal with it!” (a bad idea with MEP’s).

It’s indeed true that LLM’s are used (and quite efficiently) to produce high quality phishing mails.

But cybersecurity also profits of AML to better identify and triage spams and phishing emails and automatically improve filters in either rack-mounted anti-spam servers or in software mail servers.

Je pense que ma mère les a encore 🤣🤣🤣…

Barry Steakfries would be proud of you.

I… yes. This -actually- happened. Minus the springs to be fully honest.

Our son, aged 6, vs a Moulinex hand mixer. While I was busy prepping veggies.

As someone who went to see “Star Wars” in theatres in 1977, who saw every single movie on release day, who watched every single series & animated show, read a -lot- of books and comics before Lucasfilms moved them to “Legends”… bring it on kiddo.

I’m not “Y’all”.

I was going to say something about putting beef in a pressure cooker, but searched about it first. Because I hate being a jerk.

I now know better.

So thanks, you inadvertently convinced me of buying one to make carbonades, curries and ragù quicker than before.

Rogue One would like to have a word with you.
February 10, 2026 at 7:06 PM
I’m a hardcore Star Wars fan. Watched all the movies on release day, from all the way back in 1977. Own a lot of vintage Kenner toys & movies paraphernalia. Watched all the series & animated shows. Named my kids Lucas (nicknamed Luke) and Leïa.

I won’t watch that movie. It’s… no. Just, no.
February 10, 2026 at 5:16 PM
Uh. I still own a Philips 32” CRT TV with a half-sized tube and an HDMI connector that dates back to the late 90’s. Still perfectly works, our son uses it in his bedroom on a regular basis to watch DVD’s and Blu-Ray’s.

Wonder if it could be worth something to the right kind of people.

Lord you’re all so young! Spider-Man, Harry Potter and Ninjago as your “childhood sets”. And I say this in a “friendly old uncle” kind of way by the way.

My first set? 1978-1979 Classic Space 885 “Space Scooter”. Still have it, with the box and the instructions.

I can’t know, I’m far from being US-based. And I won’t travel there before quite a while.
