finally found a very reasonable Remo Acousticon snare! It’s oft derisively described as being “made of cardboard”, which made me immediately interested in getting one. Needs a replacement snare and probably some new hardware but that’s pretty cheap and a fun restoration project.

wanted to learn electronics and sound engineering so trying my hand at building a microphone since that has the most obvious application to an instrument i know how to play (the drums!)
