This brings it in line with its close relatives doesn’t it?

This inspired me to build some of my own lego designs tonight

Starting to upload my old art from Twitter, this one is back from 2020 depicting the JP/// Spinosaurus meeting the Disney Dinosaur Carnotaur at a desert river.

Just realised the Triceratops is gone as well, still can’t figure out what the large mount is above number 4

This is great!

I’m curious about what collection specimens you decided to use, and it looks like you brought back Dippy, would you still have Fern in the garden? Looks like the poor Camarasaurus got fired, I was always fond of it for some reason

Actually addressing the issues people face today should be an open goal to build support but no, having petty squabbles about (insert name) party and being unable to compromise on anything is what they really are focused on doing apparently

Still remember getting this for my birthday back in year 2, great book. Love the way the museum looks on page 1.

Also is that a Ceratosaurus facing off against an ankylosaur on the cover? Always wondered about that

I still don’t get why the things they added warranted a whole new game. Things like custom islands should have been day 1 features, not the third entry in the series

I really like it when museums put the original fossil next to a full reconstruction, really helps contextualise what it looked like. Would be amazing to see the London NHM do the same with the Scolosaurus

The impression I get is that most people are aware there was an empire but the actual level of knowledge varies hugely.

Maybe it has to do with how it ended, the main perspective I see is essentially “we gave it all up”. We didn’t cling to it with long bloody wars like france so it is less felt.

From what I remember when I went up it in 2014 before it was blocked off, the only information up there were labels with basic info for each skeleton. It didn’t really make much sense beyond “here is iguanodon, here is albertosaurus”

I hope whenever they do redo the exhibit if they get rid of some of the casts they might distribute them to other UK museums, the UK lacks any other large dinosaur exhibit, most other museums with dinosaurs have a max of around 4 mounts

Better they just recast him and explain the differences as frog DNA

I really wish the London NHM had more real fossil mounts on display since it is the only place in the UK with more than ~four mounts on display

Read this as protoceratops babies and for a fraction of a second thought this was like a cuckoo situation

Are there any surviving concepts for these?
September 26, 2025 at 7:49 PM
I went and saw the Nottingham exhibition, does that mean the original mount was made of real fossils? I always assumed it was a cast
September 23, 2025 at 11:20 AM
What happened to it after the exhibition? Was it the same mount that went on display in London?
