It’s almost Valentine’s Day, so I’m sharing my codependent jellyfish in love scarf design. It features pink jellyfish with intertwined bioluminescent tentacles, over a dark textured coral and seagrass background, with Art Nouveau corner frames.

The ouroboros signifies rebirth, and cycles of change. I enjoy the movement of the design - tree branches cascading, snakes circling and intertwining, falling petals in the background. Taken as a whole, it is about growth, development, and starting over.

Not only is Gaudi a stand out architect, to me his work is very reflective of Barcelona. It is a vibrant city with unexpected beauty all over. Even under my feet as I walk the streets. So that’s how his tiles became inspiration for a pattern in my Barcelona collection which became a silk scarf.

Not only is Gaudi a stand out architect, to me his work is very reflective of Barcelona. It is a vibrant city with unexpected beauty all over. Even under my feet as I walk the streets. So that’s how his tiles became inspiration for a pattern in my Barcelona collection which became a silk scarf.
Many other buildings and structures designed by Antoni Gaudi can be seen in Barcelona. What I love about his work is the positivity embedded in it’s grandness. The work is bright and beautiful. Full of pastels and rainbow colors, surprising curves and swirls where you expect straight lines.

Gaudi is most famous for his design of Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia. To call it a basilica doesn’t do it justice. Sagrada Familia is a marvel - a soaring cathedral propped up by tree trunks of different stone, art carved into every inch, bathed in rainbow stained sunlight.
