But Ukraine already has security guarantee from giving up their nukes. Why would they need another one? Why would they believe another such promise?

I've long wondered what Teapot Dome would have developed into, had not Warren G. Harding died in office.

I was wondering if others had noticed this. Mom used to get driven, in a pink Mercedes, to collect the quarters from the laundry rooms of Fred Trump's rental properties.

One wonders if, perhaps, some of the Hoosiers still have lingering bad feelings over how MAGA treated their native son, Mike Pence?

From what I've read, Calibri is now the default font for MSWord; another sans serif for other applications. So Blinken's State Dept. was going along with the software people, not breaking new ground.

Back in the 1980s, before most of you ever heard of Trump, I liked him for fixing up Central Park skating rink. Got over it when I learned he was taking credit for work done with other people's money.

We donate to local church which runs a food pantry, the kind of church that expresses faith through good works, not harsh judgments. We have fruit trees, and often bring them fresh fruit in season to distribute to our neighbors, too.

Similar story with animal shelters, local vs. ASPCA national.

He can start with "I'm so ashamed of myself" which is actually his best hope for at least a soupçon of redemption.

I suppose I could have googled "6000 Monroe Rd" and figured it out. Thanks for telling me instead.

I'm sure it's nowhere near where I live, but I'd still like to know where this is.

I got up this morning deciding it'd be worth laying out a timeline re: #DarrenWhite and #Epstein. #ZorroRanch was located in NM-03, after all. BTW, for all his ads about being a tough guy from 82d Airborne, his job there was "clerk."

Boasts about barging into teen beauty contest dressing rooms. He was in the modeling and beauty contest businesses. Just because of amazing money-making opportunities? The Apprentice debuted 2004, which presumably had morality clause contract. Epstein breakup lines up on timeline. Perhaps relevant?

It shouldn't be all about Trump. Other rich & powerful men were involved. If it's Clinton? Tough luck, Hillary. Let the chips fall where they may no matter who it is.

My own PI would never socialize with female students. It was a tactic to prevent any opportunity for a sexual harassment charge to arise. Said so openly. Gave an advantage to the boys, who'd shoot the breeze over a drink or share a car ride, where brainstorming and problem-solving could also arise.

I got raped out of PhD prog. Rotation w/guy who got a Nobel later, I mentioned the rape. "When?" he said. "Six weeks ago" to which he replied "Aren't you all healed by now?" as if only physical injury. Stood up by campus women's group, who blocked I-5 over Rodney King verdict instead. Rough time

Watson + Crick + Franklin = 3; not sure the problem there.

Regardless, they needed and used her x-ray crystallography. Could they have gotten there without her? I tend to think not. BBC remembered to include her. PBS ought to do better. Say her name!
November 7, 2025 at 9:49 PM
Say her name! Lest we forget, from BBC: "Working with images obtained by King's College researcher Rosalind Franklin, without her knowledge, Crick and Watson were able to construct a physical model of the molecule." She should've gotten Nobel too, but didn't because there's no posthumous awards.
DNA pioneer James Watson dies at 97
The Nobel Prize winner felt ostracised by the scientific community over his comments on race and intelligence.

I wrote to our Rep, CCed to MTG, Mace & Boebert on this. Asked them to work together, since this is in NM-03 it's a local issue. We need more coordinated action in limited coalitions if we're ever to get anything done. Trump? Clinton? Richardson? Whomever else? Let the chips fall where they may

From what I understand, You are a very rich man. We gave a few $100 to local food bank, more soon ahead of Thanksgiving. What are you pitching in, personally, to help your neighbors in need?
