This video does not even mention the upcoming massive LAX Metro light rail and bus station... It's due to open in Spring 2025 serving the C and K lines and many bus routes (and the Sepulveda heavy rail line in the distant future)

Tehachapi is make or break for CAHSR, Pacheco is a nice to have, if in the process you also get a Caltrain-style ACE service that sounds like a win win to me

Electrifying ACE and rebuilding Dumbarton sounds like a good interim solution to get HSR to SF, you can still get the Pacheco pass tunnel in the future but doing ACE and Tehachapi first gets you 90% of CAHSR (esp with the law exempting existing ROW electrification from CEQA), am I missing something?
