I am sure that more books went into chatgpt training, but it doesn't matter much because chatgpt answers based on how many times book titles were mentioned on internet (in data used for its training). It can't analyse them to understand which ones are really better.

So I honestly think that even if democrats will not change a single thing about their campaign they still will win next election just because Trump will fuck up enough to make people angry at him again. Also this would explain why so many people actually voted against him in 2020.

Most likely their real motivation is more about "any change is better than what we have now". They feel justified in their anger at dems, so they get behind anyone who promises to make their lives better, and they do not care enough to actually check if those promises are lies or not.

I feel like this is a joke for most people voting for republicans because this was not the reason they voted. Right now everyone's lives are getting worse (at least they are worse than in 2019), and people blame current government for this. Incumbent parties all over the world ale losing votes.

They had predictions, and they went down with observations. Most star systems have two or three stars, which makes life like ours impossible. A lot of others don't have planets in "habitable" zone or stars themselves are not stable enough. We discovered thousands, but lost more potential ones

I mean, sometimes ends do not justify means. Also means used by one side are a justification for other side to use them (which is exactly what happens here, fascist's cruelty justifies cruelty against fascists)

And while technically he lied when he bought a gun, this again should not lead to a criminal charge. It can be used as aggravating circumstance if he commits a crime with this gun, but by itself it should not be a crime, this is uncomfortably close to thought crimes.

But overall Hunter's charges are really a pile of crap. Taking drugs is a crime without victim, and there should be no crimes without victim. People hurting themselves by taking drugs should receive help at most, not criminal charge.

I think, Fermi paradox was created when people expected almost every star to have planets with life and to have faster than life travel. Paradox argues with this belief, saying that if life was so common and FTL existed, we would already see aliens. "We are first" should be a valid answer to it

I think in Fermi paradox argument is that it's strange and unlikely for us to be first. Also, it was based on older view that chance of life forming is very high, with modern science there are more arguments for this chance to be not so high, which by itself may be an answer to Fermi paradox.

People just associate problems they have right now with current government. Current US president is democrat, so people are pissed at democrats. 4 years ago people were extremely pissed at Trump for covid, this would explain record numbers of pro-democrat voters.

Mix of different things, among them probably - thinking that government overall, represented by democrats, is worse and more morally bankrupt than even Trump. It is a huge loss of trust in institutions overall. So Trump's promises to "punish" institutions is very attractive to some people.
