I could try and say something interesting about the game but I won't. Instead I'll wonder what the last 20 minutes must've felt like to play when it first came out in the US with no concept of Silver Case. Escape paradise, Kill the Past

It's my media thread and I get to decide if a YouTube series goes on it. Tom might be one of the best to be currently doing it, though I don't always agree with his takes.

This game seems to have three core beliefs
1) Great Men alone turn the wheels of history
2) Only the West has produced Great Men
3) All Great Men are controlled by demons
Do with that what you will

One of those games where you can just feel the raw passion coming from everyone who ever touched it, why should I care about occasional performance issues. Also please check out its arcade mode I've barely dipped my toes into it but it fucks so hard

It's still peak. Something nice to have a couple episodes to watch every week. Sunrise used to have so much money to make anime, what happened

It's still kind of an empty nothing of a game but at least it didn't make me want to blow my brains out (except for Olympus). So close to being genuinely really good but alas, it wasn't meant to be.

Well, that wasn't as good as I remember. The writing's still good but oh my god it's so miserable to play holy shit. And my cart is fucked and a certain cutscene won't load and I lost hours of progress when I got there.

You can understand even without understanding. Absolute classic, I think surprisingly my favorite bits ended up being the more """filler""" chapters like spectrum and the parade/TSUKI combo than the actual overarching Kamui stuff.

The level design sucks shit and like half of the heartless bosses also aren't very good and yet I can hardly care because Sora just feels so good to control. And the prologue is still an alltimer in the series

There's a certain kind of listlessness and melancholy captured here that just really resonates for me. Plus watching it on a kind of shitty dvd rip really enhanced the vibes. Clearly I need to watch more Kitano

My first time watching this ever since my dad first showed it to me back in around 5th grade where it became maybe the most formative piece of art to me. And luckily, it still goes so hard.

It's pretty good tbh. Or at least I had a good time, maybe I'm easy to please. I mean come on, they gave Skarmory a mega evolution and it's sick.

It remains a classic. Playing through it in JP I'm not sure which was more jarring, Hikari instead of Simple and Clean or the Japanese voices for all the Disney characters.

Going back to CoM it is astonishing how much better it is than Re:CoM. Like they really kinda fucked that one up huh. Though at the end of Sora's story RNG fucked me hard and I spent hours grinding for one map card. Still pretty good.

If nothing else, the act of reading it makes for an experience. Idk I really want to love it but I can only feel that it had some cool ideas and execution but flopped in some key areas. I'll have to really think on it more
