A productive @exetercityoflit.bsky.social partnership meeting today. We were treated to a tour of the Treasures of @exetercathedral.bsky.social This is the 10th century Exeter Book, the oldest book of English literature in the world. Also foundation charter and a wonderful wax votive figure.

Some years ago Mrs H and I, both former English students, visited Exeter Cathedral library on a bit of a whim and slapped our foreheads at our stupidity not realising that it houses THE ACTUAL EXETER BOOK. If you've got any interest in Anglo-Saxon (including fnaar-fnaar riddles) you have to see it.
