Also the necessary precondition of Vienna's social housing build-out in the 1920s was a combination of hyperinflation and draconian rent controls destroying the market value of the rental stock, allowing the city to buy up the first generation of affordable housing for cheap.
Vienna started social housing 100 years ago; then they deported or murdered 10% of their population; then they had no immigration for 50 years.
It’s not such a happy story, nor a useful one for North America

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.
18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

The lead is narrowing but Ontario seems poised to re-elect the only party with no platform for how to manage an economic war. Tough guy words are all show, no go + weakest plans to fix healthcare/housing chaos they "managed".
