For sure, and I'm glad he notes it, but I think it would probably be good to defer the conclusion he proposes at times in the piece given this; my concern is less with sample size than it is with lacking an analysis of week-by-week separation numbers. And to be clear, Jimmy is my fave beat reporter!

Regardless, separation is not just a WR stat, and there's a good argument that a lot of this has to do with the route design overall and the types of routes AJ is asked to run vs. the types of routes DeVonta is asked to run

I think the question is fair but your analysis here might be a bit static. Early on in the season he was evidently dealing with injury that affected his play; I would be curious to see more fine-grain stats showing if his separation improved in this last game
