The theory is that the kid is mimicking how Elmo talks to him or about drumpf behind closed doors, not necessarily what he was taught to say

His mom is Grimes — I don’t know their custodial situation but she seems to not be involved in the parading of her kid at the press conference. Seems more likely the kid is picking up Elmo’s language.
