Avoiding uncomfortable materials seems counter to the purpose of a university education. Wow.

Is the intent to have all syllabi publicly searchable? (I know that I can search published syllabi at my university when I'm logged in as a student... Is that database now to be publicly available for "transparency"? Or are syllabi now subject to Sunshine Law requests?)

Wow. Such a burden on faculty... and for no real purpose. In Florida, are faculty syllabi still considered IP of the faculty member? I've been following the NC change where they're considering syllabi as works for hire now.

In a class that I just finished, the professor showed YouTube videos at the start of many lectures. Does each YouTube video count as a resource that has to be listed in the syllabus, as they're required resources that the student didn't have to purchase?

I attended a Longest Night Service for the first time tonight. It was wonderful.

I edit the bulletins each week for a friend’s church… and their typeface has an unusual amount of space built in to the lowercase “f”, such that I’m forever questioning whether there’s one space or two spaces. I so wish that I could recommend a typeface change, but it’s not even my church….
