The most hideous of men. In aspect, a bloated buffoon twisted from within. Even back in the softness of youth, a visage always marred by a haughty projection of unmerited self-regard. In temperament, a bully. Like all bullies, servile towards other bullies to curry their favor; and towards others? Exhibiting cruelty reciprocal to their ability to be used by him. A kind word only when it benefits him: hate being his usual stock-in-trade. A lech, seeing in women, including his unfortunate offspring, value only where their beauty can be used to mask his own perverse countenance. A cheat; a thief; corrupt, never failing to take an opportunity to gather for himself others’ harvests: generally by trick, never by his own force—owing to the cowardice festering in his heart, another trait shared with other despotic men. A man whose insistent demand to be respected exists in strident and direct inverse proportion to his worthiness of any positive regard. A man whose main merit in his dotage is that his evil years are many, and the good and wicked alike must eventually travel the same path: the only path he has richly earned the right to share with his betters.

Absolutely correct, I don't think *they* will care. But it will make governing more difficult; it will grow the ranks of their foes; and that, eventually, will help bring this to an end. I have no illusions about there being a quick or easy end, but regimes like this *always* fall, & they will too.

This. While I do believe he would be more...competent at being evil, the cult true believers would and will *never* accept him. Never. So all that unwavering support would go away, and while it would get ugly with a LOT more foment, we'd be a real step closer to ending this travesty

I assume none of it runs adequately under Wine? Be a miracle if it did, but, always worth a look-see. Fwiw (more for ppl who might see the post, won't help with your game-dev needs I imagine), I can attest that Musescore works pretty great under Linux and the combo of that plus Audiveris is awesome

it's shameful how little-known that is. I never once learned about it in school, even being avid about history.
