Well, the old joke with this poem was:

:Stop slouching toward Bethlehem!" - the Beast's mother.

But yeah, with Trump the Beast has never been slouchier, has he?

I'm at 20/20 too. This one isn't so bad. It's the one that floats around gamer spaces with "which console controller was your first" and it starts with the NES, and then I have to post a picture of the Intellivision...my back always hurts after that.

These are powers in the Constitution Act 1867, and not the Charter, so they aren't subject to the Notwithstanding Clause. Apparently the law-cancelling power has been used 100 times since Confederation.

Heather MacPherson (one of the NDP candidates for leadership) is pushing for the federal government to disallow Danielle Smith's anti-Trans laws. The federal government can cancel provincial laws that single out a minority for second-class citizen status. We need that here too, to end this trash.

"That sport best pleases that doth least know how:
Where zeal strives to content, and the contents
Dies in the zeal of that which it presents:
Their form confounded makes most form in mirth,
When great things labouring perish in their birth."

AI is so poisonous. I always scroll past the AI overview before it loads in. I've read so much about its psychosis effects now, as well as its effects on cognitive decline, I don't even want to see it.

It's when religion gets tied up in nationalism these days, and as Christian Fascism rises on these shores, Christianity becomes a test for belonging to the state. Plurality belongs to democracy and to freedom. Fascism demands purity, and cutting yourself off from those who don't belong is a test.

So basically, it's doing such terrible things to the brain that an employee should be able to opt out on a basis of an unsafe work environment. Maybe that can help kill this worst of our inventions since the nuke.
