I've noticed a huge uptick in game studio's hiring in the past few months, really curious what's going on as it's a big contrast to the last couple of years and many issues plaguing the industry hasn't seemed to have improved much. Anyone know what's up?

Support & participate in a vibrant indie scene. Corps need people to keep consuming, spending, creating & working for them. If enough people turn their back on them & instead support smaller passionate creators/teams it will build healthy creative focused communities that can resist selling out.

Often no cited source is ever good enough, they will often continually move the goalpost or strawman, many times they really don't even care, read the source or have facts of their own, they are pressuring you the person with the opinion/fact to entertain them by placing the burden of proof on you.

Seems like the origin is all over the place. I'd say the modern form of sealioning is annoying people who argue in bad faith to make someone look bad or waste their time. While some opinions/statements definitely should have source backing or be questioned that's usually not the context or situation

Just played our first networked test over steam today of the game we're working on, still so much to do but it was really cool things worked & me & my co-dev were successfully able to play and do things together through server.

Art is vulnerability put to canvas. An artist may project confidence but if they care about their arts message it's rare they will not be tortured by thoughts of how they aren't good enough to fully communicate what they wanted.

Stay humble & diligent.

A lazy self soothing statement. All ideas can be related to other ideas, originality comes from the unique & personal execution of ideas. It's reductive to attribute the entire worth of something created to the inspirations that lead to it.
