On the same day, Leader Trump launched a war against a Black government on false pretenses, sent a missive to his nation in which he lied about his history of violence and suborning violence, and threatened to jail his enemies.

If the New York Times can't even understand that the immigration policy Trump is executing isn't the one he promised, and the economic policy he's executing isn't the one he promised, and the foreign policy he's executing isn't the one he promised, why does the NYT even still exist?

The premise of his 2024 campaign was that he'd simply return America to the policies of his first term—which he claimed had led us to greatness. And now the NYT is going to pretend he (a) ran on a campaign of radical change that he (b) forecasted in advance?

And of course the *problem* here is that if Congress is in charge of creating regulatory bodies within the executive branch but the POTUS gets to decide whether those bodies will *do anything* or not, it can no longer be said that Congress has the power to regulate anything. Only the president does.
