Doesn't seem that personality type - quite a quiet lad by all accounts and there is a pathway at NUFC where Spurs have lots of (injured) starting CBs

I think a club like Sevilla or Athletico would also be a big threat

We need two CBs in the medium term so this doesn't stop a Guehi like player also in the summer (tho PSR could say different)

If there is a chance at a great deal then of course they move in a priority position

Plus LCB is different to RCB; LCB we have Botman, Burn, Kelly none of whom excel on a side they are not familiar with (though arguably could adapt)

RCB is Schar only right now (Lascelles is a way off being fit)

Wages are the bigger issue not just transfer fees

Let's not forget he has to say certain things in public as he manages squad harmony, fallout if transfers do t happen etc

And he is right to not want players sold...if they are not replaced (which has been the case)

Next three games (Villa, Man U, Spurs) are tough though 4-6 points from those and we can make a push

Southampton will not let him go for a reasonable price tho

Livramento after barely playing a year and relegation at £30m+ and Walker Peters priced out of a move same year

£35m+ is more than what Bakayoko will prob be so I think we will likely have to pass given PSR

Nominal fee realistically

But wages are the main release

Did I see Will Osula also do the same?

In which case Hattrick incoming

Even a nominal fee helps us

Releasing wages is the priority

Was that serious or an ironic comment? Sorry I'm slow on the uptake

How is he doing for actual assists? I think this will also grow over the course of the season

Tino is fantastic but his attacking play is a bit weaker still

So (purely tactically) against teams where we need more attacking threat Trips still makes sense. Likewise if Bruno and Burn are out (or we have another wobble) his leadership would be important

But generally it is Tinos shirt now

Lol this is always the case 🤦‍♂️

Hand luggage charges are a bit extreme though

Superb analysis! Howe will also extract a little more from him from areas like 1v1s and in the air

His leadership and professionalism are also a marked reason he was sought out

Just hope it's around the £40m-£45m mark tho as there have to be other reasonable options in that price range

He came off his line decently in the brief glimpses in pre season - seems about as good a #2 as is possible
