I like your approach with this.

I need to do the same, but I feel lost about where to start with SEO. Any suggestions/tips/resources you'd recommend as a starting point? 🙏

Why don't you release soon as beta so you can start getting users?
Super useful for building a dedicated user base and getting early feedback. You can even consider doing a waitlist and start talking about the app publicly as you keep building. :)

Oh thank you! I met many beautiful people from France during my recent travels, would love to visit someday!

I live in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere, I'll do great an ambassador here 😅

Curious to check it out!

Recently started using Resend. So far it seems great! :)

Oh, I'd be so up for this if I was in Paris 😀

You sure he has enough experience to be reliable? 🤔

With Google Cloud? That gives me hope. Thanks a lot, man!

I've seen it with Vercel and others, but never with Google.

Any subreddit you'd recommend for this? 🙏

Would you personally say this would be a valid complaint, or a solid ground to demand a refund for? 🙂

I have already posted this on Twitter. But I don't have much reach on any socials, so it feels like a scream into a void.

Considering Reddit/HN, but part of me also feels a bit silly, cause even though those API calls were made unintentionally, they were made and I was charged accordingly.

Woo, Fathom looks really clean and minimal, like the vibe of it! Wish it had a free plan though!

I'm going with Cloudflare for now. Super basic, but has everything I need for free.

Very apt description, haha!

I like Simple Analytics. Also eyeing Cloudflare as well. Might be easier since my domain is already there.

Thanks for the rec! 😃

Well, that's perfect!

Maybe you're killing two bird at once here 😅

Lovely!

Letting people bring their domain for free really makes it clear that you're genuinely trying to help without benefits. Cause, as you mentioned, gatekeeping domains are basically a tactic to make people pay, not because it costs these company money.

Ah the ad sounds like a great way to get a head start for the initial traction. Well done!

I'm quite curious about the Shopify ecosystem. Do also do store development for clients?
April 22, 2025 at 9:15 AM
Yep, totally agree! 💯

It's such a crazy time right now as a dev, cause I feel like the sweet spot is in a certain degree of collaboration with these LLMs, but it keeps changing as the LLMs become more powerful every week.

Super excited to see where this goes :)

Aaah! That's super useful! Will deff use it on my next trip! 😄

Is it built on React Native?

Looks amazing! Super useful utility!

Curious about the name though 😅
Did you name that for SEO reasons?
April 22, 2025 at 9:06 AM
This is for sure an amazing tool that's gonna help so many people. Thanks for putting it out there. 🙏

How are you managing the infra though? Does it just generate static files that you host on your server? :)

Congrats man! 🎉

Fellow backpacker here, would love to check out the app! :)
April 21, 2025 at 8:27 PM
Yeee, congrats! 🎉

That's some serious growth! Did you put much marketing effort behind it, or is it entirely appstore traffic? :)
April 21, 2025 at 8:24 PM
Oh gosh, I think that was one of the most magical moments I've ever experienced.

And no, it wasn't just one butterfly. At one point, there were like, 14 sitting on me at the same time 😅
