To me macOS strikes a pretty good balance between usability, commercial software availability, and power user tools in the terminal. Especially with brew.

uv is great! Coming from other ecosystems, Python dependency management was hell for me.

You can easily integrate a cli in an existing workflow without asking people to change their ide of choice. That’s actually resonates a lot with me.

But humans are also extremely efficient at building abstractions to deal with complex issues and compact that context window. I think currently LLMs take more of the kitchen sink approach because that’s what they can do.

Isn’t that more aligned with the financial goals as well? Burning through more tokens (input, output and think tokens) even for simple tasks.
