Haha, ah well. Kittens and puppies are a trial - I’m sure that’s why they are so cute - it’s a trick to make you love them 😂🫣🐈

Ooh Hi Rick - an interesting conversation may evolve here - I absolutely adore Marc Chagall‘s watercolours, but no - I really do not like the stained glass he made … probably because a lot are in medieval cathedrals in England and somehow they just look odd in that setting …

Next … ooh my fingers … ah no! I have a method …

The sun has again been choosing which work to highlight!

Yes, and perhaps that is why so much on the surface dried up? Just not enough moisture for all

Good morning!

The hens are losing their summer feathers and growing their winter wear! The reduction of daylight hours have caused them to stop laying - and once again we are keeping them out in the sheltered garden (where they are let out every afternoon) as long as possible…

The apples have kept me SO busy! The cider apple crop has fed the sheep through the awful drought we had here too!

Hell of a harvest this yewr, I hardly moved from the spot I started from!

Yeh, bless, to be honest it wasn’t her (in the photo) but a ewe lambs with no horns!! Which makes it funnier to those who know sheep 🙃😜

Of course I did.
I heard you bleat
and then again - I thought it sounded like a lamb with it’s head stuck in a fence, then carried on …
but later, that same plaintive sound made me pull on my boots again.
You weren’t THAT stuck, I only had to come alongside and you pulled yourself free.

Always draw a little comfort, on these earlier and earlier evenings, of the will-o'-the-wisp lights of farmers putting fields to bed in the dark. Tonight a tractor worked in near dark, while way over on the other end of the horizon the sun was just vanishing. I liked the wide screen story of it.
A long photo looking at a horizon line of fields. It is nearly night.

In the far left corner there is a single light - a solitary tractor ploughing a field by headlight.

In the far right, but on the same line of you were to draw one across the photo with a ruler, just the last orange and pink of the sun.

Between the two light - a farmer and the centre of our solar system - brown fields in dusk, and a faint pale line which shows where a railway embankment once cut through the hill. A single star hangs in the sky.
