like, when we first see him in the campaign he is cold and untrusting.... isn't it more interesting to see HOW he got that way, and not that he was like that the whole time??

a lot of ppl are mad essek is being shown as sympathetic and not stone-cold evil.
they want evil that becomes good, but they are getting a complicated character being arrogant and in over his head, doing evil things, despite knowing they are evil. i think the sympathy is dramatic and juicy!!

Anyway, I'm having fun with the show and the changes they make as an adaptation! We're already halfway done, which is a little sad, but even with the accelerated pace/departures, they are tying things in at a narrative level that's pretty cool.
