by voting for me, you would be helping a #queer, #trans, #disabled, #AuDHD #IndieArtist earn visibility, and potentially a batch of cushions featuring my art to sell at markets & online, or some much needed cash.

I will be exhibiting a few of my favourite paintings I've ever done (all for sale) alongside relevant poems from my unpublished hybrid collection, #MadeOfMagic, and selling a bit of everything - from collage to painting, handmade & printed #PoetryZine to #ArtPrint in (almost) every conceivable style

(not that I need a doctor to confirm I'm #neurodivergent; as one of my best loverfriends once put it, "every word that comes out of [my] mouth" is proof enough... but ADHD meds would be nice, as would any accomodations/support accessible only via diagnosis)

the world rly isn't built for me is it :(

I've got no concept of how long I've been on those ADHD & #AutismSpectrum waiting lists without consulting my doctor, but at this point it's definitely years plural.

folks, I know I need to be grateful to live in a country with an #NHS and I am, but fucking hell, it's broken & full of holes :(

oh also I've been discharged from #MentalHealth Services *again* bc the appt I missed due to a late letter & struggled to reschedule was apparently last summer. WHAT EVEN IS TIME?!

this is me trying to access therapy & a #bipolar assessment, but God, it proves how badly I need that #ADHD assessment

(I kid you not; I once had a GP telling me "I didn't become a doctor for patients to tell me what to do"... at an all-day conference on how to improve NHS services to better suit the needs of patients. The satire really writes itself).

< neurology weren't "interested" (doc's words) in his last referral. Things have gotten exponentially worse since then re. those particular symptoms, so hopefully this time they'll listen.

did I mention how nice it is to find that rare unicorn of a GP who has your back VS the rest of the NHS?

< to be angry, to fight back, to call each other out/in when needed, to mess up monumentally and fall out and forgive each other, to fall from grace and work to climb back up.

10/10, would emote again

(also I just discovered I am 11cm taller than Elliot Page and I feel like a fcking skyscraper rn)

< the sacred aura of queer spaces.

the flashback episode near the end shattered my heart [TW. for transphobic rethoric, physical violence, particularly in the form of police brutality], but the end healed me - or at least started to.

yay for nuanced, believable queer characters who are "allowed" >

< poignant because of how messy they are. There are no saints, just imperfect people doing their best; who are often not at their best, but still deserve love, belonging, and a chance at redemption.

the hot, vulnerable tenderness of queer sex, the importance of platonic friendships/chosen family, >

these 10 episodes alone made me feel so seen.

Garcia's portrayal of a young trans man trying to make sense of himself, his sexuality, his relationships to his loved ones was so tender & instantly recognisable.

also just... #LGBTQIA+ characters & relationships that are made more, not less, >
