We secured a less expensive venue with space that is more suited to FAccT’s needs on these dates. This has some specific benefits. Most importantly, it allows us to direct more funds towards registration waivers and travel grants, so we can make the conference available to more people.

Second, all authors need to have an OpenReview profile to submit a paper. If any authors do not have an institutional email, you should create a profile ASAP, since it can take up to 2 weeks for OpenReview to approve your email.

FAccT prohibits using LLMs to wholesale generate text for manuscripts, but we know that some authors may use it for other purposes (e.g., grammar revisions).

First, with the rise of genAI in research paper submissions, we are instituting a new required Endmatter section for all authors, describing whether and how you used generative AI in preparing the manuscript.
