About two months ago I started working with fur for the first time... how hard could it be right? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! This is round six, it's much better than my first attempt to do spots but I am still kinda unhappy.

This... this... fiddly little fold of fur onto the foam sheet for the eyelid... this took more work than you would think to make it look nice at the seam... hnnngh

Okay I think I figured out a good stain to get the colour I want. AND the fur is still super soft. Win!

I just... couldn't stand the seams so... I remade this and third go around I came up with the minimal seamless design that would appease my OCD! I am very pleased with this one! :3

Today I spent a little time playing with ways to make the eyes. I'm pretty pleased with what I came up with so far using a half bauble, foam clay, a scalpel and the bottom of a small paint bottle to get the iris/pupil shape.

Mask fur 1.0 for my first time ever working with fur like this I think it went very well :3 I am very sure (like the main mask base) I will actually end up remaking this... (hopefully not 14 times ha.) I'm a little annoyed about some ink staining, the seams can be picked out and evened out.

OKay the pieces are pinned with backing for easier sewing. Right side is blue penned, left side is purple penned :3

I did not like the snoot so... I tore the snoot off and am now making the measuring process to figure out unevenness (one side isn't quite right! And I'm opening up the eyeholes a little!
