Even the ones like My Neighbor Totoro and When Marnie Was There have heavy topics. He shows us beauty and hope and love can always be found.

Agree! When I was a dumb, depressed teen I let my baby cat out and he almost died. He had a horrific time and has a perpetual limp as well as PTSD all these years later. Buy/diy a catio! Harness train! Buy an enclosed stroller! There are so many better options than unsupervised roaming.
