I don't find "representation in proportion to population" a good enough argument in itself - unless it goes deeper into the 'whys'. E.g:

1. Why is representation on a given axis of identity (e.g. caste, religion, social orientation) relevant in the context you're arguing for? (cont) #India #Bihar

Firms with a larger number of employees have a higher proportion of female workers.

More reason to encourage & create conditions for firms to grow, besides efficiency gains. "Small business good, large firms bad" narrative in #India is misguided. #EconSky
