Ever read "The Sheep Look Up"?

"Have Space Suit, Will Travel" was my gateway, though, and in my teens I had access to a magnificent used bookshop that gave me access to EE Smith, EC Tubb, Edmund Cooper and a bunch of other authors that are just unheard of anymore.

I remember having my mind blown by this, and then having a minor "wtf" moment in the midst of reading a soliliquoy on Cap'n Crunch by the same author a few years later.

For those of you that don't know, this book is a parody of Tarzan and Doc Savage and is quite graphic. It is also great fun.

The Xanth and Kirlian Quest series took up a lot of my time, back in the day!

Civ III

I read a John Grisham novel once, so I think I could handle the DOJ.

I still remember picking this book up for the first time at the school library, not even in my teens, and it set me on a path that I'm still walking to this day. Remember folks, TANSTAAFL!
