HELLO! animator here! those are called "Timing charts!" basically they help map out how many frames are needed for a specific scene or motion.

the numbers (or letters) at the verry ends are the frames where the sequence starts and stops. and the marks along the line are the other frames to be drawn

When my viewers recommended I listen to this, there was no way I couldn't do my own version
