My dad got a 3D printer. Grandkids are enthralled by the magic machine that makes toys. Also, small plastic animals are taking over their house and he's had to order more filament to make the projects he actually intended to make, before wide-eyed wonder detoured him.

The joys of working with kids - sitting across the table trying to get a kid with a rampaging headcold to engage, while nudging over tissues and hand sanitizer and dreading the enevitable contagion.

Eating all the chocolates that I missed in my Advent Calendar due to being too busy through December to remember to get one every day. Also have a tea calendar with about eight teas I need to catch up on.

Poor husband. Thanksgiving is his favorite holiday because of the food, and he's got a stomach bug today. Hopefully a) it ends and b) I don't catch it.

I want to bake a cake or cookies. I still have some of the cake I made last week. (Pumpkin with maple vanilla white chocolate frosting). Problems with a two person household - can't eat as many sweets as I want to cook.

i love watching my grandniblings, but it also brings home why people usually have their kids well before they turn fifty. I can't stay up all night (babies)and function the next day like I did in my twenties. My days of balancing two part time jobs, grad school, and raiding in WoW are long past.
