Really, really disappointed to hear there will be no appeal.

If it's EM's decision because a re-trial was too painful, I understand. She owes us nothing.

But if it was strictly the Crown's decision, it's a travesty. There is so much ground to appeal.
Crown in Hockey Canada sex assault trial won't appeal judge's not guilty decisions | CBC News
The Crown has decided not to appeal an Ontario Superior Court justice's not guilty decisions a month ago in the sex assault trial for five former world junior hockey players.

The short answer: the Heritage Foundation have been paying influencers to discredit hormonal birth control for at least 7–8 years now

Social media is full of videos saying hormonal contraception can hurt you and promoting natural alternatives. How did the treatments get such a bad reputation and do alternatives work?

I got back-to-back IUDs for 15 years or so and insertion remains the most physically excruciating experience of my life. I got zero pain management every time and once nearly fainted.

I've shattered my front teeth, get hemiplegic migraines, etc. NOTHING compares to IUD pain.

Some clinicians don't offer pain management because they believe it's unnecessary.

New recommendations for cervical and uterine procedures, released last week, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists says there is "an urgent need" for this to change.
Doctors urged to treat pain for IUD insertion and other procedures
A major medical group now recommends pain-blocking treatments for IUD insertion and other procedures amid a growing recognition that women's pain should be treated.

I'm gonna be graphic here, so word of a caution if you're a survivor :🧵

The uOttawa hockey team was acquitted & the Hockey Canada team will probably be acquitted, too but that doesn't change the fact that in both cases, the men themselves admitted to behaviour that was downright abhorrent.

When you're a literal billionaire and one of the most powerful woman in the world getting booed by thousands for just... existing at a football game THEN trolled by the literal President about it, it says so much about how no girl or woman is out of reach from misogyny.
I Saw Taylor Swift Get Booed at the Super Bowl First Hand and It Felt Bigger Than the Game
From my seat at Super Bowl LIX, the crowd’s disparate reactions to Swift and Trump felt like a chilling microcosm of our culture.
