I understand, and I don’t mean to be cavalier, but I live in the deep red south, and the whining is getting very loud. I’m truly horrified about what’s happening.

I can’t even tell you how many evaluations I’ve had that were worthless. Very few admins in my experience had solid pedagogical expertise. Those few that did were really worth it as they recognized effective strategies and gave excellent suggestions.

While I’m sickened & outraged by this, I’m very concerned for all of us who have direct deposit as now DOGE has access to all bank account information. That’s not only SS, but tax refunds as well.

It’s not just SS payments—it’s our direct deposit bank account numbers that are at huge risk.

I live in Mississippi, and you can’t get much more red. We have a local group that meets—Democrats, Progressives, Independents Alliance. It helps.

I retired from teaching at a top tier international school, and DEI is actually DEIJ (J being for Justice). In top tier international schools, DEIJ is huge and permeates the entire culture, from the classroom, to professional development, to admin’s hiring practices.

I live in Mississippi, and you can’t get much redder than that. I am sickened everyday. My friends and I don’t know what to do. We are writing letters, calling, having meetings to devise action plans, but it seems hopeless. Congress needs to act now!
