Smile, a nude courtesan wearing only latex gloves, thigh-high stockings, and nipple piercings, sits excitedly on a metal stool in a private preparation room. She stretches her arms, smiling widely and chatting nonstop. Standing behind her is Quelle Krispe — a tall, muscular man dressed in black, wearing gloves and a skull-like mask that hides his face. He is silent and stoic, and he is preparing red shibari rope. The lighting is clinical and sterile. There are three dialogue bubbles where Smile greets Quelle casually, jokes about his fish and his love life, and rambles about being bought by a patron. She flirts shamelessly, making light of the fact that she is about to be bound and gagged for a client’s pleasure. Quelle does not respond. His quiet presence contrasts her bright, reckless energy.

Quelle begins rigging Smile with red shibari rope. He is focused, carefully wrapping rope around her arms, chest, and torso with practiced precision. Smile continues to talk without pause. There are three dialogue bubbles. In the first, she tells a dramatic story about a patron who humiliated Velvet by stepping on her head. In the second, she gushes about how Varg intervened without raising his voice, terrifying the patron into submission with just a hand on the shoulder. In the third, she warmly recalls how Jens helped Velvet clean up and Neige escorted her to the medbay — an act of quiet kindness. Through it all, Smile remains oblivious to the ropes slowly tightening around her body.

Smile is now partially bound. In the first panel, she excitedly suggests that Quelle should join her and the other girls on shopping trips like Jens does. She imagines him drinking boba tea, trying on new outfits, and scaring off creepy guys. Then her tone softens: she says he reminds her of her little brother — a tall, quiet presence who used to escort her around before she became a courtesan. As she reminisces, Quelle silently prepares a red bit gag behind her. In the second panel, he inserts the gag mid-sentence, cutting her off. A muffled speech bubble shows her trying to apologize, now gagged. A caption reads: “White Pony Rule #4 – No History. No Past. No Identity.”

Smile is now fully bound in intricate shibari, her mouth held open with the bit gag. In the first panel, her head is pulled back by Quelle's hands in a surprise motion. Quelle looks down on her, adjusting the tension in the room. In the final, larger panel, Smile looks up, startled, as Quelle gently tilts her chin to face him. His face remains hidden behind the mask. His gloved hand is soft, his expression unreadable, but his eyes are visible — calm and intense. There is no dialogue. The moment is loaded with tension. It’s as if he’s saying goodbye with his gaze. The implication is that Smile may not return from the patron who awaits her.
