Just finished Eric Larson's 'The Demon of Unrest about the times of 1861; Fort Sumter & Lincoln's election. It calls out every historical person and how many slaves they owned. Things they didn’t teach us in school. 5 stars.

Every Xmas Eve neighbors gather to put some sand & battery powered candles in white sacks & distribute all around the neighborhood for several blocks. Adults put sacks together, kids run & put them around. Fallbrook people drive by to see. We re-gather candles Xmas morning to use again next year.

Common sight around Fallbrook today. signs of 3 running for AD75 State Assembly. Juza (orange sign) claims to be union endorsed, but his signs are non-union. He claims to be a Democract, but Republicans R funding his campaign. I like the Choose Joy sign, white & blue with union bug

Tomorrow is Veteran's Day, but today is the Marine Corps Birthday, as all Marines know. The 2nd Continental Congress authorized the raising two battalions of Marines on Nov 10, 1775, A recruiter set up shop in Tun Tavern, Philadelphia.

Parking lot central to downtown with ~110 spaces is vital to our town. Planning Group stubbornly refuse to understand how a small zoning change will help the small business owners of this lot to pay the taxes, repave & improve the lot. But the ignorant Planning Group fears any change.
