Instantly made me think of Hearst Castle: an overcluttered mess of stuff that costs a lot of money, no sense of restraint or sensible grouping

We have laws against speeding. Do they completely prevent extreme excessive speeding, like 100+mph?

Very beautiful. I don't know a thing about Libyan food! I notice the woven baskets are very similar to those I see in Ethiopian/Eritrean restaurants -- any relation there?

Right now all high prices and economic problems are Biden's fault. But it's a great fantasy I'm sure Miller and Fox will love to promote.

Well, I did, but never got a reply. Maybe e-books don't count :( I'll try again.

So -- it's not quite the same, but apparently SFGate has their own portal into Puzzmo. It has a California-based Mini crossword (as well as all the Puzzmo puzzles) on this page www.puzzmo.com/+/sfgate/today
Puzzmo — The (new) place for thoughtful puzzles.
Re-imagined mainstays like the daily Crossword Puzzle, modern classics like Really Bad Chess and SpellTower, and even a few brand new puzzles.

That "leader" of ours Hakeem Jeffries needs to step up and be useful for a change. I can't believe he's not willing to pursue impeachment for Hegseth.

That seems so odd to me. If you're bothering to vote, you must already have an opinion on the issues. I don't put it past human nature to want to say "I voted for that item/person that won," but I don't quite see how seeing how others voted would make you change your opinion.

I was always under the impression that "ranch" referred to livestock, and "farm" was for produce. For avocado growing I prefer the term "jungle"

Try putting them in a paper bag with an apple, fold the top and sit for a few days to a week. Persimmons picked when yellow should color up eventually. (Picked when green will never get there afaik and it's possible these were.) I think the instacart shopper didn't know how to choose a persimmon.

A lawsuit is the only thing you can expect Trump and Co to respond to. Polite and probably even impolite requests will be ignored -- they see it is publicity, no matter if it's good or bad.

Dear god I was driving and NPR or whomever played the entire thing without interruption or summary the entire way home. I had to turn it off or I wouldn't have enough brain cells to drive.
