Bozeman: “The Most Livable Place”
I think it's clear that I'm not a travel writer. Not only do I lack the discipline but I also haven't learned the art of driving and simultaneously capturing specific observations and descriptors about things like how the landscape changes, the air smells, what trees we're seeing, names of mountain ranges we travel through, etc. Basically how to create a vivid picture and/or make the writing useful to someone else interested in traveling the route.

This post summarizes days 4-6—spent in the Bighorn Mountains—of our 18-day indirect road trip to southern California. Thanks for following along and your patience with all the imperfections of these posts!
How we got there: The Bighorn Mountains
Our plan for the days that followed Hill City (Sunday through Tuesday) was to head up to the Bighorn Mountains in Wyoming to stay at a small lodge then just sit relatively still for awhile, recharge, and explore (by foot or the recreational toys offered by the lodge) the natural beauty around our next destination. Well, we got that. Sort of.
