After what felt like minutes of holding back a scream and struggling against a force much stronger than me, I passed out. Or woke up. The power was still out, so I grabbed the small flashlight next to my bed and turned it on. The face was just my pillow.

Still extremely dark, it started to dissolve, getting smaller but changing hues. Panic rising, I tried to wake up but it was still there. I tried to move, but I was stuck and struggled against the paralysis.

Laying on my side in bed, I opened my eyes. In the dark room, lying by my side, directly in front of my face was something. It was like a face, but on its side, looking at me with its mouth open.

I snuck out from under the covers, and behind it, and tried to tackle it with a chokehold.
