hell, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time still holds up graphically today (and is an INCREDIBLE game)

not played any of the games on these lists (apart from a little bit of Mar Kar World), but i can see Silksong getting GOTY for PC games simply due to the fact it crashed ALL the online stores buying it digitally due to the sheer number of people trying to download

(and let's face it - BG3 was the CLEAR winner for GOTY that year, the fact that Larian had a voiceline for every single thing you could have possibly done, including different tone indicators for how much your party liked you)

there is always so much toxicity over what games get announced
"oh why has x game been nominated when y game is so much more superior?"
I still remember all the people when Hogwarts Legacy didn't get a single nomination at the game awards in 2023 and people were complaining like mad

as someone who put down Witcher 3 (enjoyed what i played, but it's been so long, i'd have to start from the beginning - and i find that's too much of an ask with a game the size of Witcher) i can see Geralt being used in flashback scenes, maybe with addition of being introduced to new skills

and before you try and be like "well you were doing that before with my bsky posts and priv twitter" - the difference is that i looked at the tab on my PC and they were right there on the home page, and I checked in on you as they made me worry
