🆕Today the Govt made an announcement about the Adoption & Special Guardianship Support Fund (ASGSF).
It will continue into next year.
🔗 Read the statement: ow.ly/PGg250WRcb3

But concerns remain:
A photo of Cathy Ashley, Chief Executive, Family Rights Group. Together with the text of a quote from her: “Family Rights Group is hugely relieved that the Government has announced that the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund will continue next year. We are also pleased that the Minister has committed to consult in the New Year with children and kinship families on the future of the Fund. However, the Government needs to go further, both in restoring the cuts in the amounts available to be spent on specialist assessments and therapy for individual children, and in enabling all children raised in kinship care, who need therapeutic support, to be eligible to apply to the Fund.” Family Rights Group logo
