Hegseth restoring monument: so he doesn't want to erase history, thus no objection to shrine in Tokyo honoring members of Japanese military who committed war crimes - some against American servicemen. And if Germans want to honor AH, Himmler, et. al, no problem?

Somebody is lying, either bill does or doesn't lift tax on SocSec benefits. From SocSec Admin: "New law includes provision eliminating federal income taxes on SocSec benefits for most beneficiaries..." Also provides enhanced deduction for taxpayers aged 65 & older, ensuring retirees can keep more.

Really have to object to The Atlantic today. Went there this AM - Tim Ryback, Anne Applebaum, Adam Serwer, Johnathan Chait, Johnathan Rauch - people, there are only so many hours in a day! If you're not already, would highly recommend subscribing.
