Eli is the most comfortable of my OCs due to a handy combination of family, age, investments, and a lucrative side hustle. Loretta is next, her parents are successful businesspeople and her grandparents are in trades. Alena's mom is a dragon - she has a money but doesn't really know it. She barters.

Hiccup: new monitor appears to have a defect, so only half the screen displays colour correctly. Went through all the troubleshooting available, did my reddit searches, have now started the return process. (It's fine for work, but gaming? Nope!)

Desk update: it's kind of magical to turn my head and look at my window to watch the snow falling.

Answered a client 7 months ago with a document for signature, they answered today with two questions and a "return asap" note attached. Considering making a chart to track how often this happens.

Spent the first four days of the year cleaning, sorting, disassembling, and building furniture. Gave away a lot of yarn, two misc. bags (I mixed clothing, specific fandom stuff, books in each so it'd be a surprise to whoever picked it up, but still be like, themed), my old desk and monitor arms.

Spent the first four days of the year cleaning, sorting, disassembling, and building furniture. Gave away a lot of yarn, two misc. bags (I mixed clothing, specific fandom stuff, books in each so it'd be a surprise to whoever picked it up, but still be like, themed), my old desk and monitor arms.
I'm sure there are other, smaller things I've achieved this year, and while there's a lot of things I wish I had done better at (savings accounts), my really big, huge, wow can't believe I did it and didn't feel as relieved as I thought I would thing was paying off my student and credit card debt.

Loretta's worst enemy is Larine, who she has hated since Session 2 of our Strixhaven campaign. There are MUCH better candidates, like any of the villains we deal with, but this petty grudge has been a near defining characteristic for 2 in-game years.

Strixhaven confirmed for Dec. 29 and I'm up against the deadline of making my final lvl. 8 feat/ASI selection. I've had four MONTHS to do this and have spent every single one of them debating what makes the most sense for my character.

Alena strongly prefers the cold, and is not thrilled about the party being in a non-artic climate for the foreseeable future.
Eli prefers cold in the "getting cozy under blankets" way, and not the "the air hurts to breathe" way. She's happy with a cooler climate.

Eli is, unsurprisingly, the oldest by a large margin. She is followed by Véro, and then Alena who is in her early to mid 30s. Loretta is the youngest of the group, and is in her mid-20s.
We had to reschedule last night's Strixhaven game (boo) but it's looking like we will play Sunday instead (yay) before I head to a holiday party with friends (yay), and, a result of the reschedule I got some wrapping done while catching up on last week's episode of CR (yay). 😄

Had a lovely, mostly offline weekend. Ran my last Eriador game of the year on... 20 minutes of prep? Most fun I've had in a session, players enjoyed it. We had an open conversation about switching games after wrapping up this adventure - everyone wants magic, I need less prep.

Had S0 for a VtM game in 2026 last night! It's the system I have been aware of the longest, but have never played in it before. Very much looking forward to seeing what fun/trouble our vampires get into.

Of characters I currently play I think it's Loretta, which is weird because in my head it should be Eli. I think Eli is much easier to develop a crush on.
But Loretta makes a certain sense given Loira, her grandma, was my crushed on character. It's not even close, and baffles me.

Weekend good! Reformer on Saturday morning was a great opportunity to see friends I've been missing at workouts recently. Partner took us out for lunch after, and then we went to our first Christmas market of the season.

Alena - unmarried. Gosh, Alena would love to have a wife one day. That lady would be so adored, but would also need to be okay with Alena frequently being gone for weeks at a time. Covered in kisses upon Alena's return, no outside world, only bed.

A fun things about Eli as a character is that prior to being my Waterdeep character, I was playing her at level 8 - her bodyguard history has seen actual playtime!
It was interesting for me to think about why she wouldn't be using the higher level magics she used to. Needed it to make sense!
