I only use X11 on PowerPC devices like the PS3 and Wii, and only because Wayland kills itself last time I tried

On the FNA discord people have been also looking into Native Deltarune, I believe there is a project called Delta patch who has the needed binaries for it to work
I wish they would just target SteamRT3 it supports both arches they want (AMD64 and ARM64) there's no reason not to use it
